With my wife and three daughters in the Atlas we have plenty of room and my 12 year old prefers the third row to herself. Our neighbor who bought a 2021 Hyundai Palisade said the Atlas handles better and feels more confident in corners with less body roll. The fit and finish have met all expectations, and I have yet to experience any creaks or other interior noises. I am not a big fan of the 12 inch tablet sticking out over the dashboard. In my opinion the vehicle looks far more expense than the price and I love how the interior is uncluttered and streamlined. I am on the bigger side and have plenty of room all the way around. The steering is precise and the ride is very smooth. The Atlas is at home on the long road trips and after 7 hours of straight driving I had no aches or pains. The car had no problem getting up to speed and at 104mph felt really solid, but yes it is slow compared to a Dodge Durango Hellcat. The … big test came when I needed to pass two semi-trucks at once. In my opinion, the engine is perfectly adequate (have V6) and will perform everything you need it too. The common theme for the Atlas was that the engine was too sluggish. I had a Ford expedition max previously with far too many problems with the EcoBoost engine. 360-degree camera (gives you a top-down view of the car for tight parking situations)īefore buying my Atlas, I read every review and watched every YouTube video I could find almost to the point of obsession.Automated parking system (steers into a parking spot with no driver intervention). It starts with SEL R-Line content and also adds: This is the most feature-packed Atlas available. Blind-spot intervention (automatically steers the car back into its lane if you try to change lanes while a car is in the vehicle's blind spot)įeatures here mirror the SEL trim, though the SEL R-Line comes standard with the V6 engine.Lane keeping system (makes minor steering corrections to help keep the vehicle centered in its lane).Adaptive headlights (swivel as you turn the steering wheel for better illumination in curves). The panoramic sunroof is standard at this level, as is the Towing package when you opt for a V6 engine. Towing package with 5,000-pound towing capacity (V6 models only)īuilds off the SE with Technology trim.Front and rear parking sensors (alert you to obstacles that may not be visible in front of or behind the vehicle when parking).Adaptive cruise control (maintains a driver-set distance between the Atlas and the car in front).Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone integration (with wireless connectivity).Has more of the features you'll want, including: Rear cross-traffic alert (warns you if a vehicle behind you is about to cross your vehicle's path while in reverse).Blind-spot monitor (alerts you if a vehicle in the next lane over is in your blind spot).Forward collision mitigation (warns you of an impending collision and applies the brakes in certain scenarios). The SE also comes with these safety features: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.60/40-split second-row bench seat and 50/50-split third-row bench.Front-wheel drive (all-wheel drive is optional).
